10-year-old leads authorities on high-speed chase

It’s not every day a 10-year-old leads police and state troopers on a high speed chase through three counties in a stolen car; but yesterday was the day.

The hi-jinks began yesterday in Westlake, when police tried to pull over the car on I-90.

The driver refused, and the chase was on; into Lorain County, onto the Ohio Turnpike, then into Erie County; at speeds topping 100 miles-an-hour.

The chase ended when the 10-year-old veered into a ditch to avoid stop-sticks that had been placed in the road.
