The state’s first casino will open for business. The Horseshoe Casino in downtown Cleveland will open at 9:30 tonight. Toledo’s Hollywood Casino will open May 29th. Casinos will open in Columbus and Cincinnati late this year, or early next year.
A bizarre crash on the Ohio Turnpike has claimed a Bellevue man.
According to the highway patrol, 34-year-old James Knutti Jr. died early yesterday morning, in Olmsted Falls. Troopers said he hit a deer, and was thrown from his motorcycle. Knutti was then hit by an SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next week is when Norwalk officials will open bids for the West Main Street waterline project.
Work, from downtown to North West Street is expected to begin in June or July.
If you’re going to Cedar Point anytime soon, be ready for delays.
The causeway is being resurfaced…The project should be complete by May 24th.

It’s Math and Science Week at the Sandusky amusement park. It’s an opportunity for thousands of students throughout the region to step outside the classroom, and watch the concepts They’ve learned with interactive displays. This year’s exhibits come from NASA Plum Brook and NASA’s Glenn Research Center, COSI and the Imagination Station in Toledo.

Stoney Lester will spend 18 months behind bars. He’s also been fined $5,000. Lester was arrested last September, after a lengthy investigation.
